Struck in Philadelphia just three years before the U.S. Mint permanently retired the iconic large cent format in favor of the small cent, this historic copper piece features Christian Gobrecht's classic Braided Hair design of Liberty on the obverse and a wreath-enclosed denomination on the reverse.
