Up for auction/sale is a scarce, highly collectable early-date U.S. silver half dollar—an authentic 1918-S Walking Liberty Half Dollar in Very Good (VG) condition!

Struck at the historic San Francisco Mint during the heart of World War I, the 1918-S is a notable early-date issue in the beloved Walking Liberty series. With a low original mintage of just 4,631,000 pieces, a massive percentage of these coins saw heavy circulation in commerce over a century ago, making surviving mid-grade examples increasingly difficult to find. Featuring AD A. Weinman's iconic design, this piece displays honest, even circulation wear with clear design outlines, making it a wonderful, character-rich addition to any classic U.S. type set or Walking Liberty album.
