Struck to commemorate the monumental carving of Confederate generals Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson on the face of Stone Mountain, Georgia, this iconic 90% fine silver half dollar features Gutzon Borglum’s masterwork design on the obverse and an eagle perched on a crag on the reverse. Preserved in choice About Uncirculated condition, this lovely specimen retains virtually all of its original mint detail with only the lightest touch of friction, beautifully enhanced by a warm, soulful blanket of natural brown and russet old-collection toning across both sides.
